Iran Sold Over 13 Million Barrels Of Oil Held On Tankers In Post-Deal Price Jump

Remember when back in April we showed a strange map of the Iranian oil tanker armada, which according to Windward data was storing as much as 50 million barrels offshore, yet which was just sitting on anchor going nowhere?

 

As a reminder, Iran has lacked sufficient land storage facilities to store its oil and, to enable it to keep pumping crude, has relied on its tanker fleet to park excess stocks until it can find buyers.

Iran Test Fires Long-Range Missiles In Drill

Iran successfully test-fired its long-range surface-to-air S-200 missile system during a military exercise in the southern Persian Gulf region on Wednesday. Wednesday was the third and final day of Modafean-e-Aseman-e-Velayat 7 (The Defenders of Velayat Skies 7) war-games which involved Iran’s Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC). Since Monday when the drills started, the Iranian air defense warned several fighter jets and drones belonging to the U.S. navy not to approach the airspace of the military exercise.
