A former Eton College student has been spared jail despite making and distributing graphic images of child abuse. Andrew Picard, 18, was found to have more than 2,000 pornographic images of children, some  as young as 2-years-old being raped and forced to have sex with dogs The images were found on his computer at the prestigious Eton boarding school after Picard shared the material in an online chat room with an undercover police officer. On Thursday Picard was spared jailed and given a 10 month sentence, suspended for 18 months and with a mental health treatment requirement.

Apple have issued a warning to the American public, saying that if the FBI get their way then the United States will turn into a police state.  Apple’s attorney Ted Olson said that a government that had “limitless” powers in “listening in to your conversations” would seek more and more power, eventually leading to a police state in the USA. Cbslocal.com reports: “You can imagine every different law enforcement official telling Apple we want a new product to get into something,” Olson said. “Even a state judge could order Apple to build something. An Ontario man caught smuggling nearly 40 turtles in his trousers while crossing into Canada has been given a two year probation with a fine of $3,500 and banned from owning any turtles for 10 years. The Globe and Mail reports: Dong Yan of Windsor, Ont., was convicted earlier this month of illegally importing reptiles into Canada that were transported in contravention of a foreign state’s law. During an inspection at the Niagara border crossing on June 11, 2014, Canada Border Services Agency officials discovered 38 turtles strapped to Yan’s legs.
