The narrative has followed Frank Underwood’s rise to power from Congressional whip to Vice President to President. His meteoric ascent to power was always trailed by a dark shadow, though — one that perhaps mirrors the real life brutality, scandal, and corruption that accompanies the machinations of most high-level politicians.

Shiite Militia Demand Withdrawal Of US ‘Occupying Forces’ In Iraq

Shiite militia forces in Iraq have strongly opposed the new deployment of US troops to the country. The Iranian backed militias have warned that if Washington does not withdraw its forces “immediately,” they will deal with them “as forces of occupation.” The Asaib Ahl al-Haq militia, known as the League of the Righteous, issued the warning after it emerged the US had sent an undisclosed number marines to aid Iraqi forces as they try to retake Mosul.

US Deploys More Marines To Iraq After ISIS Rocket Attack

Following the death of a US Marine in northern Iraq in an ISIS rocket attack on Saturday, the Pentagon has announced that they are in the process of deploying an undisclosed number of additional Marines to Iraq. The troops will be a detachment from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit and will be sent support Iraqi forces and international ground operations, according to the Pentagon.

Special Forces Ready For ‘10 Simultaneous Terror Attacks’ In London

British Special Forces and the Metropolitan Police have reportedly been put on standby and are prepared to deal with up to 10 simultaneous terror attacks on the streets of London. The Army is also on standby outside the capital to aid the police and SAS in the event of multiple terror attacks. Security chiefs fear (or want the public to fear) Paris-style attacks by terrorists returning from Syria. A minister familiar with the proposals told the Sunday Times: “We used to plan for three simultaneous attacks but Paris has shown that you need to be ready for more than that.
