Less than two months ago Ben Carson surprised pundits when out of nowhere the neurosurgeon jumped to the top of GOP primary polling, surpassing even dark horse Donald Trump.

That surge, however, is now a long gone memory because as the Hill reports, Ben Carson’s top aides have resigned, "casting the retired neurosurgeon’s campaign into chaos just a month before the Iowa caucuses."

While there's no consensus that he can win the GOP nomination let alone the White House, there is a consensus that he has a real shot at being a real threat to win the GOP nomination and make a real run for the White House.

MSNBC Anchor Stunned By Trump-Putin Lovefest

Following Vladimir Putin's 'endorsement' of The Donald, explaining his hope for "a more substantial, deeper relationship," with America, Trump has reciprocated the show of respect by thanking the Russian president for the "great honor." This mutual back-patting stunned MSNBC anchor Joe Scarborough, who exclaimed, Putin "is a person who kills journalists, political opponents and invades countries," to which Trump responded, silencing Scarborough, "he's running his country, and at least he's a leader, unlike what we have in our country."
