A Polish man on Interpol’s ‘most wanted’ list has been arrested by Wiltshire police during a raid at a Subway restaurant just yards from the local police station. Murder suspect Piotr Kupiec, 28, was arrested after police detectives tracked him down to a sandwich shop, where he had been working for a few years. Kupiec was captured and cuffed in front of bewildered regulars while working in an unassuming branch of SUBWAY in Devizes, Wiltshire, just yards from a police station. He was wanted by international police and was on Interpol’s most wanted list which contains 330 suspects. The Express reports: Kupiec, an alleged member of a feared Polish gang, is wanted by police in his home country over allegations of murder, assault and theft. Detectives in the rural market town were tipped off to the international arrest warrant – and found the man right under their noses. The sandwich chain is on the same road as Wiltshire Police’s headquarters, and officers would have had to stroll just 270 yards to bring him in.
