The morning of the New Hampshire primary, Donald Trump, being interviewed on “Morning Joe,” said that he would welcome his “friend” Michael Bloomberg into the presidential race.

Which is probably the understatement of 2016.

Israel To Dump United States And Make Pact With Russia

Russia and Israel are planning to sign a free trade agreement (FTA) very soon, Russian Deputy Agriculture Minister Sergey Levin confirmed on Friday.  “Such decisions aim at maximizing cooperation between Russia and Israel in terms of agriculture and new technologies; creation of joint ventures, as well as the prospects of a free trade zone agreement which the government expects to sign with Israel as soon as possible,” Levin said following Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich’s meeting with businessmen from Israel.

China Urges US Not To Deploy THAAD Missile System In Korea

Beijing has urged Washington not to deploy its THAAD missile system to the Korean Peninsula, saying it could also be used to target China. Wang Yi , the Chinese foreign minister said on Friday that his country has urged the United States to refrain from the deployment to South Korea. He said: “The facts are clear. The deployment of the THAAD system by the United States … goes far beyond the defense need of the Korean Peninsula and the coverage would mean it will reach deep into the Asian continent….

Liberal Democrat Leader Says Legalise Cannabis For Recreational Use

Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron is set to become the first leader of one of Britain’s main political parties to call for the legalisation of cannabis for recreational use. Farron also declared that the war on drugs must end and he will endorse a motion which proposes extending legal cannabis use from medicinal to recreational. The Guardian reports: The motion, to be tabled by the former health minister Norman Lamb, will be debated after the release of the findings of an expert panel appointed by the Lib Dems to examine how a legal market for the use of cannabis would work in the UK.

Departing U.S. commander Gen. John Campbell says there will need to be U.S. boots on the ground “for years to come.” Making good on President Obama’s commitment to remove all U.S. forces by next January, said Campbell, “would put the whole mission at risk.”
