As part of a worldwide drive by the Catholic church to increase environmental awareness, priests are now going to have to to learn about climate change. Priests have been issued with new guidelines stating that members of the clergy should be ‘promoters’ of ‘appropriate care for everything connected to the protection of creation’. The Mail Online reports: The Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences has ruled that climate change is real and caused by human activity. Members of the church have been urged to spread the message in a non-political manner.

Various senior Vatican officials have hinted that the Roman Catholic Church may be about to disclose information about aliens and UFOs to the public in a matter of months. Pope Francis himself has hinted multiple times in the past that the Earth has been visited by aliens, and has promised full public disclosure at some point in the future. Disclose.tv reports: José Gabriel Funes, the current director of the Vatican Observatory said without the slightest restraint that religion sees no conflict between believing in God and the existence of extraterrestrial life.

Pope Francis has launched a vicious, scathing attack on American alternative media and investigative reporters, labelling them “sh*t eaters” and warning them not to cover scandals “even if they are true” and instead concentrate on pumping out nice stories for the masses. “I think the media have to be very clear, very transparent, and not fall into – no offence intended – the sickness of coprophilia, that is, always wanting to cover scandals, covering nasty things, even if they are true,” the Pope said in an interview with the Belgian Catholic weekly Tertio.

An independent investigation has discovered that the U.S. Catholic Church has been forced to pay almost $4 billion in compensation to child abuse victims.  Over the course of the last 65 years, the Church’s sex abuse scandals have cost them a staggering $3,994,797,060.10, according to research conducted by NCR. Patheos.com reports: And that’s an underestimate since we still don’t know how much was spent for therapy for the victims, help for the offenders, and the creation of “safe environment” programs.
