A 61 year-old retired engineer from Tokyo, Hiroshi Endo, was no stranger to creating robots for use in projects such as the International Space Station, but his biggest achievement came out of one of the worst disasters in human history. A Los Angeles Times article details how Endo created a robot to aid in the decommissioning of the Fukushima nuclear disaster site: In space, “you’ve got the sun, the moon, the Earth, temperatures. These are very definite, very specific — they’re not going to change,” Endo said. “But nuclear [reactors] are man-made.

Given that we all have to eat and that there are some concerning environmental developments out there, here’s an interesting question: has global warming led to higher or lower food prices (thus far)?

As always the answer depends on how this affects the balance between supply and demand. Assuming that demand grows steadily each year broadly in line with population (income effects aside), the major price swings should thus come from the supply side.

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has claimed that he possesses classified information that proves the CIA is behind the “Global Warming scam”.  Snowden told the Moscow Tribune that the CIA deliberately orchestrated the myth of Global Warming in the 1950’s in order to distract the scientific community away from the dangers of the weapons race at the time and to solidify its control over research institutions. “I have documents showing that the CIA invented the whole thing,” Snowden claims.

According to recent data by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) CO2 is having very little impact on climate change – according to their own data the earth hasn’t had an increase in warmth for the last 58 years. Realclimatescience.com reports: In their “hottest year ever” press briefing, NOAA included this graph, which stated that they have a 58 year long radiosonde temperature record. But they only showed the last 37 years in the graph. Here is why they are hiding the rest of the data. The earlier data showed as much pre-1979 cooling as the post-1979 warming.
