NASA’s Mars Rover Takes Cool Photo On The Cold Planet

NASA’s Mars Opportunity rover captures a one of a kind photo of a ‘dust devil’ whirling on the surface of the Red Planet. The rover was perched on a ridge overlooking a valley when the opportunity was presented and the image was then sent home to NASA. abc News: Mars Dust Devil Photobombs NASA Rover Photo The Mars Opportunity rover snapped a photo of the dusty vortex while exploring the crater Endeavour.

Turkey Rejects Drought Claims: “Who Does NASA Think It Is?”

Turkey has slammed claims by NASA that a region in the country is experiencing its worst drought in 900 years.  Forestry and Waterworks Minister Veysel Eroglu criticised NASA’s technology as being “inadequate” and, addressing parliament, asked “Who does NASA think it is?” Middleeasteye.net reports: A report released by the US government’s space agency last month found that a drought affecting the eastern Mediterranean since 1998 is “likely the worst… of the past nine centuries”.

NASA Captures Comet Recently Passed By Earth On Video

Comet P/2016 BA14, which recently passed by Earth, was captured on video by NASA using radar and infrared The comet which was bout 3,000 feet in diameter passed by Earth on March 22nd. According to Geobeats News Luckily, NASA had its radar trained on its course and captured a few details about the celestial body known as P/2016 BA14. Shantanu Naidu, a postdoctoral researcher at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, said, “The radar images show that the comet has an irregular shape: looks like a brick on one side and a pear on the other.

NASA Receives Alien Signals From Center Of The Earth

A NASA insider has claimed that the agency are receiving numerous radio transmissions from the center of the Earth – which some experts believe may originate from an intelligent highly advanced life-form.  “It’s clear that someone or something is communicating with us,” said the NASA source. “And whoever it is has the technology to send signals to the surface through hundreds of miles of soil and rock.“ Scientists first detected the signals with the aid of sophisticated satellites, and transmissions have been received at intermittent intervals ever since, the source said.

NASA To Experiment With Fire In Space

NASA is planning to start “the biggest man-made fire ever in space” aboard an unmanned Orbital ATK Cygnus cargo vehicle. In an experiment known as Saffire scientists want to find out how fire spreads in near-zero gravity in a bid to keep astronauts safe. International Business Times reports: The study is being developed by engineers at Nasa’s Glenn Research Centre, Ohio, and will be lit after the cargo vehicle delivers supplies to the International Space Station (ISS). The idea is to monitor the way that flames spread in microgravity so that future disasters can be avoided.
